The Long Stay aspect of the school caters for students with educational healthcare plans (EHCP) between the ages of 11 and 16.  Students follow a diverse and varied curriculum designed to ensure they progress socially, emotionally and academically. We have high aspirations for all students and providing it is appropriate for the individual, they work towards GCSE or equivalent qualifications. We believe our academic offer combined with our focus on social and emotional wellbeing gives our students the best chance of becoming confident individuals who are able to live a safe, healthy and fulfilling life.

We provide support through our graduated response and are fully inclusive in all aspects of school life. We offer small class sizes with higher staff ratios. Opportunities for personalised learning and learning opportunities that promote students to close the attainment gap.

Long Stay Provision

Personal Development Curriculums (PDCs) support students with their personal and social development and further support is available through our student support team and emotional wellbeing department. In addition to this, academic interventions for Reading, Literacy and Numeracy are part of our offer for all students who require this additional support.

Our ethos centres around a personal approach to meeting need, an increased celebration of success through our rewards programme and flexibility in terms of academic pathways. Staff support students to become reflective learners, remove barriers to learning and rediscover their enjoyment in learning and attending school.

We believe that our academic offer, combined with our focus on social and emotional wellbeing, gives our students the best chance of becoming confident individuals who can live a safe, healthy and fulfilling life.
