The Hub School Welton – Short Term Provision

The Hub School Welton provides a specialist short-term provision for Key Stage 3 pupils who may benefit from a different educational environment and additional support to re-engage with learning. Pupils may access the Hub for a range of reasons, including disengagement from education, social or emotional factors, additional special educational needs, social, emotional and mental health needs, or where they have become caught in a negative cycle that is affecting their ability to succeed in their usual school setting. The Hub provides a calm, nurturing and structured environment where pupils can feel safe, understood and supported to make positive changes.

Our aim is to help pupils rebuild confidence, develop positive relationships and re-establish successful routines and attitudes towards learning. Alongside a broad and purposeful curriculum, pupils receive personalised pastoral and educational support that recognises their individual strengths, needs and circumstances. Staff work closely with pupils, families and their home schools to identify barriers to learning, celebrate progress and develop strategies for sustained success. The ultimate goal of the short-stay provision is to equip pupils with the confidence, skills and resilience they need to make a successful return to their mainstream setting and continue their educational journey positively.
