Our KS2 curriculum seeks to build the critical thinking and enquiry skills needed for the secondary curriculum, without compromising on curiosity, excitement and wonder. Our students cover a range of topics outlined in the national curriculum, whilst loosely following the thematic approach taken in English, art and the humanities. While most of the topics appear as being largely discrete, some have been mapped to allow students to apply their knowledge from the aforementioned subjects within their science lessons. For example, the study of electricity alongside the Victorians, or plants, animals and habitats alongside Made in Yorkshire.
Students cover content from biology, chemistry and physics and access a range of practical tasks to supplement this.
